ImagiNation Writers' Festival 2020 - Quebec City

I will be discussing and reading from Quill of the Dove on the mystery panel at the 2020 ImagiNation Writers' Festival. It is a lovely festival situated right in the heart of Quebec's old city. The festival takes place between April 1 and 5, 2020. It will be a while before the organizers decide on the actual time and date for the mystery panel so please stay tuned.

Montreal Book Launch for the Marginal Ride Anthology

November 17 is a unique opportunity to meet five of the eight Canadian and American contributors to The Marginal Ride Anthology. Present at the Montreal book launch will be Sang Kim (Toronto), Ursula Pflug (Peterborough, Ontario), Tim Niederman (Bethany, Connecticut), Ian Thomas Shaw (Aylmer, Quebec) and Caroline Vu (Montreal). And in spirit, we will be joined by contributors Michael Mirolla (Hamilton), Jerry Levy (Toronto) and Geza Tatrallyay (Barnard, Vermont) :)

Eclectic in style, unflinching to the art of short fiction, the anthology writers present a brilliant array of bold themes. I am proud to have contributed to this anthology and edited it with Tim Niedermann.

Guest speaker at the Guernica Prize Bash in Toronto. The event will launch the winner of the 2018 Guernica Prize, An Idea About My Dead Uncle by Kevin Wilson, and the winner of the 2019 Prize will be announced. Reading with Sonia Saikaley and Anita Kushwaha

Delighted to be a special guest reader at Sonia Saikaley's Ottawa launch for her new novel, The Allspice Bath. I was also privileged to have read an advanced reader copy of the novel and provided a short endorsement for it. The Allspice Bath is really a wonderful narrative of a Lebanese family reconciling tradition with a new life in Canada. Also reading with us is the delightful Anita Kushwaha, whose novel Side by Side is a remarkable journey into the deepest recess of human sorrow and loss. Join us for what promises to be a very memorable evening.

Halifax Book Launch of Quill of the Dove - Writers' Federation of Nova Scotia

The final leg of my Cross-Canada Launch of Quill of the Dove will take place on June 1, 2019 at the Writers' Federation of Nova Scotia, 1113 Marginal Road, Halifax. It will be a great wrap-up of the five-city tour starting in Vancouver (April 6), Toronto (April 14), Montreal (May 2) and Ottawa (May 5). I will be joined by some fabulous Canadian writers and poets: George Elliott Clark, Michael Mirolla, Giovanna Riccio, Steven Mayoff, Jacqueline Dumas and Chad Norman. Books are being handled by the Bookmark Halifax bookstore. I hope to see all my Atlantic Canadian friends there :)

I will be reading from Quill of the Dove at Guernica's first Spring launch in Ottawa. The launch will take place from 3 pm to 5:30 pm at the new event space at the Vimy Brewing Company.
